Miss Drag South Africa is a registered NON-PROFIT COMPANY that has positioned themselves as a catalyst for change within the LGBTQA+ community and beyond.

Born out of the ethos of “Drag with a purpose”, Miss Drag South Africa has provided a platform where change agents are cultivated to engage in transformational work that is community orientated and community specific.

Miss Drag South Africa has moved beyond the conventional notions of beauty pageants to becoming an agency that challenges and dismantle those notions. It is against this background, that our organisation has extended participation to every person who is/was assigned male at birth and who identify either as non-binary, gay and/or transgender and who is a lover of the art of drag. We are aware that drag is not a gender identity but a form of expression that has later become an impetus for queer liberation.

Miss Drag South Africa (NPC), is a national pageant where beautiful and intelligent hopefuls from across the nation vie for this prestigious title.

The brand acts as an inclusive pageant for drag queens, genderqueer and trans bodies. The slogan of the brand is ‘Drag with A Purpose’, where it aims to inspire ordinary people that carry out extraordinary things to advocate the advancement of LGBTQIA+ rights, drag culture, serve as agents for change and uplift their communities by serving as positive role models.

Miss Drag SA 2025 will be like none before. The entertainment will be electrifying, and the finalists will be as fierce and fabulous as ever before.
